Adventure Camp is perfect for those
who have aged out of traditional summer camp
programs. Experiences take campers to new levels of
skills introduced in earlier camps, although
first-timers can quickly pick up the basics and move
along. Adventures include the climbing wall, new
canoeing techniques, backpacking and campouts.
Freshly acquired team work and communication skills
are put to the test on an overnight canoeing trip.
Adventure Camp offers young teens an exciting way to
learn new skills and add to the confidence they will
need as older teens. |

Carolina State University's Eastern 4-H Center are proud
to offer Take Off 4-Health, a healthy lifestyle camp for
overweight boys and girls ages 12-18. The 3-week,

healthy lifestyle and reduce their risks of developing
chronic disease.
Campers will participate in:
- Fun outdoor
activities like swimming, boating, hiking, archery,
team sports and games
- Educational sessions
about healthy eating, self-esteem and body image
- Confidence and
team-building activities including a challenge
course and climbing wall
- Traditional camp
activities like arts and crafts, ecology, talent
shows, camp fires and more!
Campers will eat:
- Three well-balanced,
teen-friendly meals a day plus two snacks
- Meals prepared based
on menus and recipes developed by ECU pediatric
dietitians
- Meals that help them
lose weight and meet their nutrient needs
Physicians at the Brody
School of Medicine will provide medical supervision for
Take Off 4-Health. All campers will have 24-hour access
to a camp nurse for medical and health needs. At the end
of camp, campers will receive a booklet with handouts
and materials to help them continue the healthy
